In Season
During the football season our primary focus will be getting our athletes ready to play a football game on Thursday or Friday night. This includes practice, weights and film study. The role of the head coach will be to oversee all aspects of game planning, ie special teams, offense and defense. Our program will strive to be the most physical team in all three aspects of the game. This will hold true in our game planning and practice planning.

Practice
We will practice in such a way that we deserve to win the game. The most proven way to be successful is to prepare to be successful. Our goal throughout the week of practice is to put our kids in every possible game situation that we can. This will allow them to be the most prepared on game night. We will use every available moment we are allowed to make sure our athletes are prepared for their game.
Weight Training
Weight lifting during the football season is about maintaining strength not necessarily building strength. Our weight workouts will be designed to maintain an athlete's strengths. Our athletes will be required to lift 2 times a week. For varsity football players this will be on Monday and Thursday. JV and Freshman football players will lift on Tuesday and Friday.
Film Study
A vital part of properly preparing for a football game is to study your opponent. Watching film allows us to do that. Not only do we want our athletes to watch film and study but coaches will need to as well. Watching film of your opponent helps us understand situations and matchups. Being able to use these matchups and situations to our advantage will help us be prepared for the game. Coaches will be required to watch a set number of hours of film each week. If coaches do not study their opponent then we are not able to put our athletes in the best position to win the game.
Game Planning
Most of our film study will take place over the weekend when we are game planning. We will use Hudl to help us organize our planning. Hudl allows us to run reports and keep track of statistics and situations. Using these tools we will be able to develop a plan that puts our athletes in the best position to win the game. Our plan will focus on what do we do well and what does the opponent not do well. We will also utilitze our own self scout to build on our own tendencies.
